The number of these judgements currently stands at 230, 182 against consumers and 48 against commercial entities.

Although the value of Judgments against consumers is up 78% on January 2019 the number of cases has pretty much stayed the same (186 v 182) these 182 cases have a combined value of €9,380,579 - an average of €51,541 per judgment.

A further €724,991 in bad debts were registered against companies in 48 separate judgments (€15,103 per judgment). This increase in overall numbers of judgments helps illustrate that there is still an ongoing need for continued risk assessment and client monitoring, even in a positive economic environment.
