The Vision-net.ie Quarterly Cost of Doing Business Survey.
The results of our recent Cost Of Doing Business Survey provided a fascinating insight into the thoughts of Irish business owners on subjects such as corporate expenditure, wages, Brexit and more.
Our report overview is available via the following link - https://www.vision-net.ie/news/2-out-of-3-businesses-say-their-costs-are-higher-today-than-pre-recession/ - but in short, two thirds of owners surveyed felt the cost of doing business today is higher than it was pre-recession. Increases in salaries and insurance premiums are listed as being contributory factors.
Also, only a minority believed that Brexit would have any effect on their business - the majority of respondents did not have a Brexit contingency plan in place.
With all the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, this could prove to be an error when, in most cases, having some type of backup plan is preferable to having none.
