Who's the higher Credit Risk?
Who's the higher Credit Risk...
... a company that's in Business 1 year or a company that's in Business 3 years?
Or does it matter, should length of time in Business be considered at all when assessing risk... the simple answer from Vision-net.ie's latest Business Barometer... is most definitely yes!... and it's not as clear cut as you might think.
Believe it or not the riskiest category, are not the young fledging start-ups who have been operating for less than 2 years, but the slightly more established companies, who have been in business between 2 and 4 years!
An amazing 25% of company closures for the first quarter of 2009 fell into this category, with all other categories considerably lower. So if your client base is made up of companies who have been in business for 2 or 3 years... beware! Probably time to re-check them on Vision-net.ie. More »
